Jeff Klingberg has been experimenting and creating ever since he was a young child. Playing with Tinkertoys led to an object creation—earning inclusion in their construction set booklets. In shop class, he made lamps and furniture. Working alongside his dad, a carpenter, he built and remodeled apartments, barns, and homes.
Generating technical drawings at vocational school taught Jeff the art and impact of visual communications. In engineering and sales classes, he learned practical and efficient problem-solving and gained the knack of communicating complex topics in layman’s terms. As a sales engineer, he honed these skills while discovering the importance of integrating engineering, marketing and sales to uncover unmet stakeholder needs and communicating brand and product/service values rationally and emotionally.
Through these experiences and many others, Jeff has learned that intelligent marketing and communications combines analytical process with creative thinking to capture attention, stimulate the senses and stir the soul through visual, auditory and tactile imagery.
So in 1993, Jeff founded Fluid Power Technologies International (FPTI)—an innovative, multi-dimensional communications engineering company specializing in the fluid control/power industry—after working in the industry for 10 years. Later, after some referrals, he established Konstanz Kommunikations—an integrated marketing communications consultancy.
As more clients and projects Jeff realized all our customers needed greater access to a broader portfolio of visual, verbal and sensory communications design services. Therefore, in 1998, he formed Mountain Stream Group and in 2009 merged Konstanz Kommunikations and FPTI into it.
Today, based in Hampshire, Illinois, Mountain Stream Group is an experiential communications design consultancy. We help consumer, business-to-business, industrial, and professional services organizations worldwide swiftly grow and enhance their return-on-investment.
