1980–1981 — The Foundation of Philosophy

The “problem-solver” mindset takes shape — communication defined as an engineered process of clarity and connection.

1993 — Fluid Power Technologies Founded

Engineering, marketing, and training support for motion-control manufacturers and distributors.
→ Focus: translating technical complexity into clear value.


1998 — International Expansion

Becomes Fluid Power Technologies International after serving global clients.
→ Early emphasis on consistency across cultures and communication channels.


2008 — The Closed-Loop Foundation

Formulated the 6-Step Communications Design ProcessDiscover, Define, Create, Test, Broadcast, Track — the prototype that evolved into today’s Nexus Control Loop™ (2011).

2009 — Mountain Stream Group Emerges

Expanded beyond motion control into multidisciplinary consulting, communication, and design.
→ Introduced Experiential Communication Design (ECD) principles and first definition of “communication as multi-sensory experience,” and segmentation of Brand Touchpoints into four categories (Aesthetics, Interactions, Stakeholder Communications, Workflow).


2009 — Mapping the Brand Ecosystem

Segmented brand touchpoints into four primary categories:
Aesthetics, Interactions, Stakeholder Communications, and Workflow — establishing the foundation for modern brand alignment strategy.


2010–2015 — Sensory & Experience Design Introduced

Integrated human–machine, human–human, and environment–human communication into design thinking. Kansei Engineering and Kanso principles integrated into MSG’s experiential philosophy — forming the foundation of sensory design in ECD.

2014 — The Birth of the 5Ps Framework

Developed the 5Ps of Brand DNA™ — People, Processes, Products, Place, and Promotions — bridging organizational structure with communication strategy.

2015–2020 — Continuous Feedback Systems

Added closed-loop processes to align strategy, design, and performance with measurable outcomes.
