Carving a Clear Path to Market for a Servo-Pneumatic Pioneer

“The best products aren’t just designed—they are refined through real-world use.”

Overview

Following the development of the initial operating instructions and programming documentation, Mountain Stream Group’s role expanded into ongoing validation and refinement of the client’s temperature controller platform.

The client provided successive versions of the controller for evaluation, beginning with Version 2. MSG conducted hands-on testing to assess functionality, usability, and system behavior—building on insights gained from real-world technical support interactions with users of the original version.

Through this combined approach—direct testing and field-based feedback—MSG identified functional gaps, usability challenges, and opportunities for enhancement. These findings were communicated to the client’s engineering team, contributing to iterative improvements across controller versions.

As the platform evolved into Version 3, new capabilities were introduced, including role-based access control (RBAC) and expanded data collection functionality. MSG evaluated these features in depth, identifying issues related to usability, system logic, and data interaction.

In March 2026, at the Pittcon 2026 trade show, MSG demonstrated these findings directly to the client’s engineering team. This real-time validation and feedback session led to immediate action—prompting a redesign of the user interface and revisions to the software, including enhancements to data collection capabilities.

MSG continues to support the platform through the development of a fully revised operating instructions system aligned with the updated controller architecture.
